Telegram app for Android now allow users to run multiple accounts on same device

Telegram is among the world most used instant messaging app available today, and its latest version 4.7 has an update that will entice Android users. The company has decided to let the app support multiple accounts on Android devices, while the iOS app is left out as it can’t support multiple accounts.  To make the most out of the latest Telegram multiple account feature, users are allowed to add up to three accounts with different phone numbers.

Telegram app for iOS version 4.7 also received several themes which users can select from, including one (“Day”) theme and two dark themes (“Night” and “Night Blue”). Further customization can be made on the “Day” theme to change the colors.

A post on Telegram website says:

The Android app already supported multiple themes, so it had to go further with 4.7 by supporting multiple accounts. You can add up to three accounts with different phone numbers to your Telegram app, and then quickly switch between them from the side menu. Notifications will keep coming from all accounts, unless you change this in the Notification settings.

Telegram now supports quick replies on both mobile platforms. To use them, just swipe left on any message in a chat.

Telegram v4.7 is available now on Google Play.
